Requirements
• 6+ years backend engineering experience (PHP and/or Go). • Proven experience leading teams, managing delivery, and owning SLAs. • Background in working with legacy PHP, migrations, and modernization. • Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and database optimization. • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, monitoring, and observability. • Strong communication and leadership skills. • Experience with Redis, Kafka, or RabbitMQ. • Background in monetization, payments, or recurring billing systems. • Experience in gaming, fintech, or other high-load environments. • $120,000 - $145,000 a year • The listed range is specific to Montreal, Canada and varies based on factors such as location and experience. • Equal Employment Opportunity Statement:
Responsibilities
• Lead the development and implementation of subscription models for our games to drive revenue growth. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, design, customer success, sales, marketing, finance, legal, operations, HR, IT security, compliance, data privacy & protection, infrastructure and more as needed by the business needs to ensure successful subscription model implementation. • Develop a roadmap for new features or enhancements that support our subscriptions strategy with input from cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, design, customer success, sales, marketing, finance, legal, operations, HR, IT security, compliance, data privacy & protection, infrastructure and more as needed by the business needs. • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to subscriptions such as churn rate, lifetime value of a customer, average revenue per user (ARPU), etc., analyze trends in these KPIs over time, identify opportunities for improvement and take corrective actions when necessary with input from cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, design, customer success, sales, marketing, finance, legal, operations, HR, IT security, compliance, data privacy & protection, infrastructure. • Develop a roadmap to improve the user experience of our subscription services and ensure that they meet or exceed industry standards for quality and usability with input from cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, design, customer success, sales, marketing, finance, legal, operations, HR, IT security, compliance, data privacy & protection. • Develop a roadmap to improve the user experience of our subscription services for different target audiences and demographics with input from cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, design, customer success, sales, marketing, finance, legal, operations, HR, IT security, compliance, data privacy & protection. • Develop a roadmap to improve the user experience of our subscription services for different devices and platforms with input from cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, design, customer success, sales, marketing, finance, legal, operations, HR, IT security, compliance, data privacy & protection. • Develop a roadmap to improve the user experience of our subscription services for different languages and cultures with input from cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, design, customer success, sales, marketing, finance, legal, operations, HR, IT security, compliance, data privacy & protection. • Develop a roadmap to improve the user experience of our subscription services for different accessibility needs with input from cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, design, customer success, sales, marketing, finance, legal
