The Economist Group - Subeditor, Custom Events
Requirements
• You have an exceptional command of written English, including grammar, style and tone. • You have a blend of journalistic and research skills, plus a strong commercial sense. • You ideally have a degree in journalism, international relations, politics or history, and 5-10 years’ experience as a subeditor or editor in a similar role. • You actively follow and engage with current affairs and policy debates. • You have experience dealing with live events as a product. • You are confident in identifying and challenging content that is deficient, insensitive or off-brand. • You are an excellent communicator and negotiator. • *This is not a traditional subeditor role. Responsibilities
