incident - Solutions Engineer
Requirements
• You've been a Solutions Engineer before, and you've stood in front of senior stakeholders and run demos that actually landed - not just clicked through slides. • You have a genuine interest in code and solving hard technical problems - not because a job spec told you to, but because you can't help yourself. • You operate with high ownership - if something needs sorting, you don't wait to be asked. • You want to know this product inside and out, not just enough to get through a demo. • When a technical objection comes up and you don't have the answer, it bugs you until you find it - that's when you're at your best. • Thriving under pressure is your normal, not your exception - the moments when everything's on the line are the moments you show up hardest. • You want to build something, not just execute someone else's playbook - this function is still taking shape, and you want a say in what it becomes. • We work hard and we think life outside work matters just as much. Our benefits pack is built to support both. • Private medical insurance. Seriously good cover - we want you and the people you love to be looked after. • Competitive annual leave. Showing up at your best requires switching off, and we make sure you have time to do that. • First Friday of every month off. Yes, seriously. • Enhanced pension. We put real money in, because future-you deserves better than an afterthought. • Meaningful equity. We're rapidly scaling, and everyone who helps shape the outcome should share in it. • Unlimited AI spend. For everyone, not just engineers. We're all-in on AI across the company, and we expect you to be too. • Generous parental leave. The early days with a new baby matter more than anything we're doing here, and we want you to be present for them. • Two budgets that have your back. £1000 to invest in your setup, £500 a year to invest in yourself.
Responsibilities
• Partner with the sales team to offer technical expertise, build customer trust to discover their business and technical challenges, then design customized solutions that address them leveraging incident.io. • Build and maintain deep product knowledge while staying current with industry trends in incident management, DevOps, and SRE practices. • Identify gaps and improvements in the current sales process to speed up sales cycles, develop collateral to help scale your knowledge and expertise across the GTM function. • Collaborate with our Product and Engineering teams to gather valuable customer feedback, helping shape our product roadmap and ensure customer success. • Being a founding member of our SE team, you'll shape and develop the function by improving processes and creating sales enablement materials to drive team success. • What experience you need to be successful: • Proven track record in a similar role, with experience in a technical pre-sales or solutions engineering role, preferably in B2B SaaS. • Strong technical aptitude with a natural curiosity to understand how things work and why - including our technology, but also incident management, and our customers and personas. • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with experience explaining complex topics in a clear manner, and presenting technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Demonstrated passion for continuous learning and professional development, with a track record of seeking out new challenges and embracing feedback to improve performance • Ingenious and proactive, you’re always looking for ways to stand out with customers, while in a fast-paced, ambiguous start-up environment where you need to operate with autonomy. • We work hard and we think life outside work matters just as much. Our benefits pack is built to support both. • Private medical insurance. Seriously good cover - we want you and the people you love to be looked after. • Competitive annual leave.
