industrious - Commercial Strategy & Analytics Manager
Requirements
• A track record building and maintaining forecasting models that have actually guided revenue decisions, not just produced reports. • Demonstrated comfort working with operational and financial metrics side by side, such as pipeline, conversion, and unit economics. • A record of turning messy, disparate data into reliable analysis largely on your own, without needing a data team to do the heavy lifting first. • Proven ability to translate complex analysis into memos and presentations that non-technical stakeholders can act on. • Working fluency with Excel or Google Sheets, Salesforce, Looker, and Snowflake, or directly equivalent tools; experience in a multi-unit portfolio or recurring-revenue business such as hospitality, retail, commercial real estate, or SaaS is a plus.
Responsibilities
• Build and continually refine the models that forecast revenue performance across the global network, so the business can act ahead of a slowdown rather than react to one. • Stand up clear visibility into pipeline health, conversion rates, and sales velocity, turning a gap in the current picture into a view commercial leadership can actually use. • Partner with Finance to connect commercial forecasts to company-level budgets and planning cycles, bridging the gap between target and forecast with assumptions both sides trust. • Shape decisions on pricing, unit economics, and marketing and sales efficiency by turning raw data into analysis people can act on. • Pull disparate, often messy data out of Salesforce, Looker, and Snowflake into one reliable, defensible picture of the business. • Translate models and analysis into memos and presentations that Finance and commercial leadership can act on directly, without needing it re-explained. • This role rewards Ownership, since you will be building much of this analytical foundation yourself, and Communication, since none of it creates value until leadership can understand and act on it. • You love finding the signal in messy data more than you mind the mess itself. • You are energized by owning a forecast end to end, from the raw numbers to the story leadership acts on. • You thrive partnering with Finance and sales leadership directly, without needing a manager to broker the relationship. • You are more motivated by building something that does not exist yet than maintaining something that already runs smoothly. • You love translating a complicated model into a few clear sentences someone can actually use. • You thrive working across global markets, not just the one you can see from your desk. • THIS ROLE IS PROBABLY NOT FOR YOU IF • You need a fully built playbook before you start: revenue operations analytics is the newer, less mature half of this function, and you will be building much of that foundation yourself. • You prefer one deep, narrow technical build over moving between forecasting, pricing input, and pipeline analysis in the same week. • You want a team of analysts around you to divide the work: this is an individual contributor role where you own the output end to end. • You would rather hand off a messy dataset to someone else than be the one who makes sense of it.
Benefits
• The base salary for this role is $125,000 to $135,000, depending on experience, skills, and role alignment. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus and participation in our long term incentive program.
