Responsibilities
• Marketing Strategy and Go-to-Market • Develop and lead CyberSheath’s annual and quarterly marketing strategy in partnership with executive leadership, sales, solution engineering, customer success, and service delivery. • Define target segments, ideal customer profiles, buyer personas, market priorities, and account-tiering strategies for defense contractors and subcontractors navigating CMMC, DFARS, and NIST SP 800-171 requirements. • Build integrated go-to-market plans for CyberSheath’s core managed compliance, managed security, managed IT, assessment, implementation, and secure enclave offerings. • Establish clear marketing priorities, budgets, milestones, operating cadences, and performance expectations tied to company revenue objectives. • Identify market trends, competitive dynamics, regulatory developments, and customer pain points that should inform messaging, campaigns, sales enablement, and product/service positioning. • Support market expansion and new-service launches with disciplined positioning, audience targeting, launch planning, campaign execution, and performance measurement. • Demand Generation and Revenue Marketing • Own the demand-generation engine from awareness through opportunity creation, working closely with Sales to drive pipeline quality, velocity, conversion, and revenue contribution. • Create and optimize multi-channel campaigns across digital advertising, search, email nurture, webinars, content syndication, events, partner marketing, social media, and account-based marketing. • Design programs that engage key buying-committee members, including CEOs, COOs, CFOs, CISOs, CIOs, IT leaders, compliance leaders, program managers, and operations executives. • Partner with Sales leadership to define lead stages, service-level agreements, qualification criteria, routing processes, follow-up expectations, and closed-loop reporting. • Build account-based marketing programs for priority accounts, strategic verticals, and high-value partner ecosystems. • Develop nurture paths that educate prospective customers on compliance urgency, business risk, assessment readiness, remediation needs, and the operational requirements of maintaining CMMC compliance over time. • Continuously test audience, channel, message, offer, and conversion-path hypotheses to improve marketing efficiency and pipeline outcomes. • Brand, Messaging, and Content • Own CyberSheath’s brand strategy, voice, positioning, messaging architecture, and narrative across external and internal-facing marketing assets. • Ensure content, and event presentations. • Translate highly technical and regulatory subject matter into accessible, commercially relevant content without sacrificing accuracy or credibility. • Partner with internal subject-matter experts to develop compelling perspectives on CMMC 2.0, DFARS, NIST SP 800-171, secure CUI environments, managed security, assessment readiness, and continuous compliance. • Maintain a high editorial standard and a consistent content calendar that supports organic demand, customer education, sales enablement, search visibility, and executive thought leadership. • Oversee website messaging, conversion paths, content governance, SEO priorities, and user experience improvements. • Product and Sales Enablement • Partner with Sales, Solution Engineering, and Service Delivery to sharpen service positioning, customer value propositions, competitive differentiation, and proof points. • Develop sales-enablement materials such as pitch decks, battlecards, solution briefs, case studies, industry-specific messaging, objection-handling resources, and customer presentation templates. • Equip revenue teams with clear, current, and consistent messaging for every stage of the buyer journey. • Create mechanisms to capture and distribute market intelligence from prospects, customers, partners, competitors, and frontline revenue teams. • Support customer marketing initiatives, including advocacy, testimonials, referral programs, case studies, and expansion campaigns. • Events, Partnerships, and Field Marketing • Refine CyberSheath’s strategy for technology, channel, and ecosystem partners, including Microsoft and other organizations serving the compliance and defense-contractor market. • Identify opportunities for CyberSheath executives and subject-matter experts to build visibility through speaking engagements, contributed content, media opportunities, and industry participation. • Analytics, Operations, and Team Leadership • Establish a metrics-driven marketing operating model that measures awareness, engagement, marketing-sourced pipeline, marketing-influenced pipeline, conversion rates, customer acquisition cost, campaign ROI, pipeline velocity, and revenue contribution. • Build and maintain reliable dashboards and executive reporting that clearly communicate marketing performance, key insights, risks, and recommended actions. • Manage marketing technology, data hygiene, attribution, campaign operations, and budget discipline in partnership with Revenue Operations and other internal stakeholders. • Evaluate and optimize the marketing technology stack, vendors, agencies, freelancers, and internal resources to ensure efficient execution. • Hire, develop, coach, and retain a high-performing marketing team as the organization grows. • Foster a collaborative, accountable, customer-centric culture that values speed, quality, experimentation, commercial impact, and continuous improvement. • What Success Looks
