Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in technical recruiting, with a strong track record hiring software engineers, ML engineers, or other highly specialized technical talent • Strong business partnership skills and the ability to influence stakeholders using data and insights • Proven ability to manage multiple complex searches in a fast-paced, high-growth environment • High ownership mindset with the ability to operate autonomously • Excellent written and verbal communication • Experience recruiting for autonomy, robotics, defense, embedded systems, or Physical AI • Familiarity with AI/ML talent markets and competitive dynamics for niche engineering profiles • Experience hiring software engineers in a startup or hypergrowth environment • Don’t meet every single requirement? Responsibilities

• Develop and execute recruiting strategies to identify and hire software and ML engineers • Partner with engineering leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to understand hiring needs, team design, and long-term talent strategy • Build targeted sourcing campaigns to attract general and specialized engineering talent • Lead structured, high-quality interview processes that assess technical excellence, problem-solving ability, and alignment with Applied’s values • Improve and scale recruiting systems, tools, and processes to support efficiency and growth • Provide leadership with data-driven insights on funnel health, pass-through rates, time-to-fill • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience
