Requirements
• Proven experience (12+ years) in leading corporate communications during periods of hypergrowth, transformation, or crisis in a senior leadership role, ideally in a technology or SaaS company. • Development of global external communications strategy to strengthen visibility, differentiation, and leadership. Relevant experience within AI is a plus. • Led a team through an IPO, including building and executing the media strategy; employee communications planning and execution; and partnering with investor relations and the executive team for all steps leading up to an IPO. • Strong ability to distill complex business concepts into clear, compelling narratives and multi-channel communication strategies. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to capture the voice of the leadership team. • Experience in crisis communications and reputation management. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hypergrowth environment, with strong leadership and people management skills. • Demonstrated success in partnering with C-suite executives to develop strategic communications that align with corporate goals. • High EQ with the ability to communicate across a broad range of audiences and levels and to build and nurture cross-functional relationships—all with a high degree of professionalism, empathy, and respect. • Strong understanding of the financial services industry, current enterprise technology, and AI landscape. • For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all roles based on function and level benchmarked against similar stage growth companies and internal comparables. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience/expertise and may vary from the amounts listed below. • You may also be offered a performance-based bonus, equity, and a generous benefits program.
Responsibilities
• Communications Strategy: Develop, execute, and lead a comprehensive global communications strategy aligned with AlphaSense’s OKRs, brand story, and values. • Communications Strategy • PR/Media Relations: Oversee media relations strategy to increase AlphaSense’s visibility and share of voice in key markets and sectors. Oversee and manage key agency partners. • PR/Media Relations • Executive Communications: Advise and support the entire executive team, including the CEO, on external engagements, media interviews, speeches, written content, as well as internal communications, ensuring clarity and consistency in messaging. • Executive Communications • Internal Communications: Ensure clear, engaging, and consistent communication across the organization, identifying the right cadence, channels, and messaging to motivate and engage employees. • Internal Communications • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high performing communications team, providing guidance, feedback, and development opportunities to foster their growth and ensure alignment with overall communications strategy. • Team Leadership • Crisis Management: Lead crisis communication efforts, providing clear and decisive leadership to mitigate risk and protect AlphaSense’s reputation during sensitive situations. • Crisis Management • Content Creation: Oversee the development of high-quality written content from the company and the executive team, including press releases, blogs, and social media posts. • Content Creation • Measurement & Reporting: Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of comms initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and quickly adjusting strategies as needed. • Measurement & Reporting: • Media Access Program: Lead the team responsible for our highly impactful MAP program that brings together hundreds of influential reporters to leverage AlphaSense. • Media Access Program • Analyst Relations: Lead our world-class AR function, overseeing the AR leader and team and the strategy behind tier 1 analyst firms like Gartner and Forrester, to sustain AlphaSense’s position as the clear leader in major analyst evaluations like the Gartner Magic Quadrant and Forrester Wave. • Analyst Relations • Investor Communications & IPO Readiness: Partner with Finance, Legal, and Investor Relations to shape AlphaSense’s financial narrative and oversee communications planning leading up to an IPO. • Investor Communications & IPO Readiness
