Requirements

Responsibilities

• ## WHAT 1 YEAR OF SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE • Increase revenue from existing workplace campaigns from $2.5m to $3m. • Increase average employee participation rates across workplace campaigns by 20%. • Renew 20% of targeted lapsed workplace giving and corporate partners through strategic outreach and partnership engagement efforts. • Increase the number of corporate partners at higher giving levels through a formal partnership upgrade strategy. • Establish at least 10 new mission-aligned corporate partnerships that provide workforce, mentorship, volunteer, or other engagement opportunities supporting UWGLA's impact priorities. • ## SKILLS YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED (The Must-Haves)

• We are inviting strategic, relationship-driven fundraising leaders with a passion for mobilizing businesses and their employees to drive meaningful community impact to apply for our Director, Corporate & Workplace Giving role. • You will play a key role in advancing United Way’s ambitious revenue growth goals by expanding corporate partnerships, growing employee giving campaigns, and securing corporate and institutional funding that powers our work across Los Angeles County. • You will have the unique opportunity to build partnerships that connect organizations and their employees directly to meaningful community impact across Los Angeles. • ## HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE TO THE CAUSE • Corporate Partnership Account Planning • Develop customized, multi-dimensional account plans for corporate partners that integrate employee giving campaigns, corporate grants, sponsorships, matching gift programs, and volunteer engagement. • Define the structure, scope, and value proposition of UWGLA's corporate partnerships, ensuring alignment with organizational mission, programs, and funding priorities. • Leverage corporate partnerships to connect employees directly to programs and community impact opportunities, strengthening the connection between corporate engagement and mission outcomes. • Manage corporate sponsorship strategy for signature events and initiatives while aligning corporate partnerships with broader fundraising and program priorities. • Workplace Giving & Engagement • Design and lead high-impact workplace giving campaigns with corporate partners to drive employee participation and revenue growth. • Advise corporate leaders and employee resource groups on best practices to increase participation rates and average gift size. • Develop toolkits, messaging frameworks, and engagement moments that inspire employee involvement and advocacy. • Work with the Partner Engagement team to integrate workplace ambassador and champion programs that drive participation and internal momentum within companies. • Corporate Relationship Stewardship • Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of corporate partners and institutional funders. • Cultivate relationships with corporate executives, CSR leaders, HR teams, employee resource groups, and other key stakeholders to secure and expand strategic partnerships. • Develop and execute strategies to retain, upgrade, and reactivate corporate and workplace giving partners while identifying opportunities for new partner acquisition. • Pursue unique opportunities for six and seven figure contributions from top institutional partners. • Revenue Strategy & Fundraising Performance • In coordination with department leadership, establish fundraising goals, revenue forecasts, and performance metrics for corporate giving programs. • Analyze corporate giving trends, portfolio performance, and engagement data to identify growth opportunities and inform strategy. • Monitor fundraising performance against targets and implement adjustments that strengthen partner retention, increase giving levels, and achieve revenue goals. • Contribute to annual and multi-year revenue planning, including pipeline tracking, gap analysis, and progress reporting in partnership with the Fundraising Operations team. • Team Management & Development • Mentor and coach a diverse team of development professionals to grow skillsets, support individual professional development goals, and inspire team members to both lead and follow. • Provide direct but respectful constructive feedback in real-time and during formal review periods to elevate team performance, maintain accountability, and reach goals. • Foster a high-performance team culture grounded in accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning. • Set clear individual and team priorities that align with departmental and organizational fundraising goals. • Hiring Salary Range: $120,000-135,000 per year dependent on internal equity and a variety of job-related factors including, but not limited to, experience, training, education, and market demands. • The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 403(b) plan, pension, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, paid holidays, and paid time off.
