DRW - Market Technology Specialist
Requirements
• 5-10+ years of experience working with regional equity, futures, and options exchanges' technology counterparts • Minimum of a B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree • Deep understanding of many exchange market data and order entry protocols – both binary and FIX • Exposure to relevant market colocation facilities. • Familiarity with the many financial instruments and asset classes across the trading estate. • Detailed understanding of exchange order processing/matching and market data distribution topologies • Strong networking background, with experience in packet captures, Layer 1 devices, Unicast and Multicast communications. • Proficiency with Exchange portals and APIs • Proficient in various scripting languages • Must be very detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • For more information about DRW's processing activities and our use of job applicants' data, please view our Privacy Notice at https://drw.com/privacy-notice. • California residents, please review the California Privacy Notice for information about certain legal rights at https://drw.com/california-privacy-notice. • #LI-PR1
Responsibilities
• Act as project technical lead for exchange upgrades, migrations and mandated changes including events such as: JPX Arrowhead upgrades, HKEX backbone network upgrade, ASX 24 platform replacement, etc. • Analyze exchange communications or specifications to ensure optimal implementation and relay key technical details to appropriate internal stakeholders. • Collaborate with operations team to maintain repository of exchange documents and documentation of special cases, eg: European HFT registration requirements, Self-Match Prevention • Maintain catalog of colocation and exchange connectivity dependencies for DRW entities and PB/FCM relationships. • Partner with our business management team to improve onboarding of new trading desks and trading opportunities. • Manage relationships with exchange technology representatives; obtain detailed information about exchange technology and coordinate "deep dive" sessions as necessary. • Identify Datacenter Optimizations to increase trading efficiency. • Engage with in-house software providers and trading desks. • Guide implementation of trading systems, focusing on technology, clearing, location and cost. • Help ensure that each new trade and each exchange change will satisfy our compliance processes. • Craft monitoring tools and automation for many dynamic tasks.
