Requirements
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred. • Experience: 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a leadership role. • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team. • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders across the organization. • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach. • Diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging are fundamental to our success. Responsibilities
• Accounting Operations: • Oversee and guide daily accounting operations, including general ledger accounting, accounts payable and receivable, and month-end and year-end close processes. • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and all relevant regulations. • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient internal controls. • Financial Reporting: • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal and external stakeholders. • Analyze financial data and provide insights to management on key performance indicators and trends. • Revenue Recognition: • Oversee the revenue recognition process, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 and other relevant guidance. • Review customer contracts and assess proper revenue recognition treatment. • Work closely with sales and legal teams to address revenue recognition matters. • Audit and Tax Support: • Oversee and manage the annual financial audit and income tax preparation processes. • Oversee audit schedules and support internal audits. • Ensure compliance with SOX requirements. • Team Leadership: • Cultivate a collaborative and high-performing team environment. • Effectively delegate tasks and monitor team performance. • Mentor and develop the team, preparing them for future growth within the organization. • Process Improvement: • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting processes. • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. • Stay abreast of best practices in accounting and technology. • Proactively seek out opportunities to improve and scale financial systems and processes in anticipation of future growth and the transition to the Controller role.
