Zip - Junior IT Support Specialist
Requirements
• 1+ year in IT support is preferred but promising candidates with a CS/IT degree, strong side projects, or relevant certifications are encouraged to apply. • Ability to be onsite 5 days a week in our SOMA SF office, and lift & move equipment up to 50 lbs (shipments, monitors). • A positive attitude and excitement for building new processes and policies for a rapidly growing organization. • Uses AI tools effectively to speed up support, scripting, and documentation. • The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $105,000. The salary for this position is determined based on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant experience, education, or particular skills and expertise.
Responsibilities
• Zip is looking for someone who is excited by the opportunity to be part of a fast paced environment that pushes you to learn while doing. This is a role for someone early in their IT career who loves helping people and wants to grow into systems administration and automation. Your goal in this position is making people happy while creating simple and repeatable solutions for all! • Provide high-touch IT support (helpdesk, troubleshooting) to local and remote Zip employees across hardware and software (Mac & Windows) • Maintain and provide technical assistance with all office technology (printers, Zoom Rooms, room schedulers, Wi-Fi). • Onboard and offboard employees, which includes: leading new hire orientations, provisioning and deprovisioning hardware, accounts, and access. • Manage laptop lifecycle logistics – provisioning, shipping, receiving, and asset tracking. • Operate cloud services (e.g., Google Workspace, Azure AD/M365, Slack, Okta, Jira, Zoom, and many more). • Partner with Workplace on desk deployments, office changes, and the employee journey; coordinate with InfoSec on device compliance. • Write and maintain runbooks and SOPs so the site runs smoothly.
