Aypa Power - Operations Supervisor, Battery Storage
Requirements
• 2+ years of proven experience in battery storage operations, preferably in a supervisory or management role; • Strong technical knowledge of battery storage systems, inverters, and associated power generation equipment; • Familiarity with energy management systems (EMS) and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems; • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team and collaborate across departments; • Experience with regulatory compliance and safety standards in the energy sector; • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
Responsibilities
• Manage on site day-to-day operations of battery storage facilities, including monitoring system performance and coordinating maintenance activities and contractors; • Develop and implement operational strategies to maximize system uptime and efficiency; • Collaborate with asset management, engineering, and project teams to optimize battery storage design and integration with renewable energy sources; • Ensure compliance with safety, commercial obligations, environmental, and regulatory requirements; • Oversee the training and development of operations staff, ensuring a high level of competency and adherence to operational procedures; • Monitor and analyze performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings; • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on operational performance and key metrics; • Other duties as required or assigned.
