Requirements
• Strong understanding of databases and open source software. • Experience with MariaDB-compatible databases is highly desirable but not mandatory. • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset who practices extreme ownership. • Ability to own big goals, budgets, and outcomes while maintaining speed and focus within a larger organization. • Leadership skills for managing a small team that scales with the business in various roles including customer success through support services. • Partner closely with Percona’s Sales and Customer Success teams to drive new business opportunities. • Must be comfortable working remotely as this is an entirely remote position based at Percona's headquarters, which are located outside of the United States (implied requirement).
Responsibilities
• Own and grow Percona’s MariaDB database business. Drive innovation, amplify the company's voice as a thought leader in databases, scale adoption of open-source software across users, build a profitable high-impact business reporting to CEO. • Lead a small but mighty team that scales with the business delivering customer success through 24/7 support, managed services, and professional services while contributing to open source projects for an outstanding customer experience; drive thought leadership in technical marketing and partnerships within MariaDB ecosystem. • Partner closely with Percona’s Sales and Customer Success teams to uncover every opportunity driving new business, renewals, expansions ensuring no potential customers are left behind.
