Airwallex - Senior Solutions Engineer (HK)

• Essentials • A bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline, with strong academic achievement. • 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing engineering role such as Solutions Consultant, Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer or IT Consultant. • Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working with customers, partners and engineering teams to develop new products and solutions. • Working knowledge of at least one major programming language, such as PHP, Ruby, Python, JavaScript or Java. • Experience integrating RESTful APIs into web applications. • Professional-level or native English and Mandarin communication skills, as you’ll work with customers across APAC. • Preferred • Experience in payments, fintech or financial services. • Experience integrating with major accounting platforms such as Xero, NetSuite, Fusion Cloud or QuickBooks. • Experience developing proof-of-concept applications and delivering technical demonstrations to customers. • Strong executive engagement skills, with the ability to build credibility and relationships with decision-makers at all levels. • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple opportunities and customers. • You'll thrive here if • You're comfortable owning the roadmap yourself. • You own the outcome and you don't wait for permission to fix what's broken. • You're comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and moving quickly anyway. • You enjoy working closely with people across multiple countries and time zones as part of one connected, global team, including flexing your hours occasionally to make that connection work. • You communicate clearly and directly across cultures, and you're thoughtful about how context shifts meaning across borders.
