Requirements

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan tailored to the API market, focusing on developer engagement, enterprise integrations, and ecosystem expansion. • Lead and mentor a sales team specializing in technical sales, including field sales engineers, account executives, and solutions architects who work directly with developers and technical decision-makers. • Build and manage relationships with key enterprise clients, strategic partners, and platform providers (e.g., cloud providers, marketplaces) to drive API adoption and co-sell opportunities. • Define and optimize sales processes for technical products, including lead generation, proof-of-concept (PoC) management, pricing strategy, and contract negotiation for API usage tiers and enterprise licensing. • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and developer relations teams to ensure the API roadmap aligns with market demands and sales objectives. • Lead sales forecasting, pipeline management, and KPI tracking using tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, or specialized API analytics platforms. • Represent the company at industry events, developer conferences, and technical forums to promote the API brand and generate leads. • Design and implement incentive programs and training curricula that equip sales teams with technical knowledge to effectively communicate API value, security, scalability, and integration capabilities.
