Responsibilities
• Customer Insights & Voice of Customer – Lead a structured customer research program across segments and ICPs to deeply understand how teams build, adopt, and scale communications and AI-driven workflows. Conduct regular interviews with customers, prospects, and churned accounts to surface actionable insights that inform messaging, product direction, and go-to-market strategy. • Customer Advisory Program – Own and operate Nylas’ Customer Advisory Board, managing a regular forum for strategic customers to engage directly with our product team. Facilitate roadmap reviews, structured feedback sessions, and ongoing dialogue to ensure customer needs are clearly represented and influence product direction, while synthesizing feedback into clear, actionable inputs for Product. • Customer Stories & Proof Points – Own the development of high-impact case studies, customer narratives, and reference programs that demonstrate real-world value. Translate technical implementations into clear business outcomes for both developer and product leader audiences. • Competitive Intelligence & Battlecards – Drive ongoing competitive analysis across direct and adjacent players. Build and maintain battlecards, objection handling frameworks, and win/loss insights that enable sales and customer-facing teams to position Nylas effectively in competitive deals. • Customer Adoption & Lifecycle Programs – Design and execute programs that improve activation, adoption, and expansion across the customer lifecycle. This includes email-based onboarding and nurture programs, in-product and post-sale education, and targeted campaigns that drive utilization of key features. • Customer Enablement & Education – Partner with Sales and Customer Success to develop enablement materials, product work sessions, and customer-facing resources that help teams successfully implement and scale with Nylas, with a focus on reducing time-to-value and increasing long-term retention. • Growth and Demand Focus – Continuously refine ICP definitions, segmentation, and messaging based on customer insights, usage patterns, and deal feedback. Partner closely with Sales and Product to ensure product and positioning aligns with real buyer needs and market dynamics, supporting end-to-end go-to-market execution. • Performance Metrics & Optimization – Define key success metrics, analyze performance data, and refine marketing strategies based on insights. • What You Must Bring • Experience – 3-5+ years of product marketing experience in B2B SaaS, with a strong preference for developer-focused, API-driven, or technical platforms. • AI-Obsessed - Deep proficiency with AI tools for research, content, and workflows. • Strategic Leadership – Proven ability to develop and execute go-to-market strategies at scale, driving measurable business impact. • Technical Acumen – Strong understanding of APIs, developer ecosystems, and cloud-based platforms. Ability to translate technical capabilities into customer value propositions. • Sales & GTM Collaboration – Experience working closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams to drive revenue and adoption. • Analytical & Data-Driven – Expertise in market research, customer insights, and performance analytics to inform strategy. • Communication & Storytelling – Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience crafting compelling narratives for executive, sales, and customer audiences. • Cross-Functional Influence – Ability to work across departments and influence senior stakeholders to align on strategy and execution. • Education – Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred. • Interview Process (subject to change) • Round 1: 30 minute Google Meet discussion with the hiring manager • Round 2: Take home assignment to be followed by a 60-minute Google Meet panel discussion • Round 3: 45 minute Google Meet interviews with 3-4 team members (max 4 hours). • During the various discussions, candidates selected to meet with us are strongly encouraged to not only discuss their knowledge, skills, experience, and abilities but also to showcase examples of their current or previous work. We expect you to clearly outline the "what," "why," and "how" behind your contributions. • Actual compensation will be determined based on individual qualifications, which are objectively assessed during the interview process. Factors influencing salary include knowledge, skills, experience, and abilities. • Nylas is registered as an employer in many, but not all, states/provinces.
