Flourish - Director of Business Development
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree • 8+ years of related sales experience • Background in financial sales required, with some experience in financial technology strongly preferred • Either have a Series 7 or willingness to get a Series 7 within 60 days of joining • Position is remote based in the western half of the US including Texas, Colorado, Arizona or California, with California strongly preferred • Experience working with Retirement Investment Advisors • Due to the nature of this position, as part of the background check process, candidates must be able to pass a fingerprint background check to qualify as a fingerprinted person under FINRA. For roles requiring registration, additional regulatory screenings may apply, including a review of Form U5 disclosures and other relevant licensing information. • Experience working as part of a fast-moving team with minimal guidance • Highly comfortable with technology, both personally and professionally • Excellent written and verbal communications, both internally and externally • Strong problem solver and creative, independent thinker • Energetic, positive and charismatic • Experience selling to wealth managers or experience at a wealth management firm preferred • At Flourish, we focus on ensuring fair, equitable pay by providing competitive salaries, along with bonus and incentive opportunities and benefits for all employees. • Base Salary Range: $167,800 - $220,200 plus bonus
Responsibilities
• Own and manage client relationships from end-to-end, from sourcing to managing the sales process to client activation and adoption • Interact with key clients to understand and resolve complex issues related to the platform • Partner with our relationship management team to develop a coverage strategy for existing client relationships • Identify and originate new business opportunities, whether through your own actions or in partnership with our marketing organization • Manage the sales pipeline and relationships using CRM and partner with the data team to develop and maintain internal reporting tools • Collaborate on the development of product and functional strategy for Flourish • Willingness to travel for sales pitches and conferences (<50% travel) • Stay current on general trends in the financial industry, and specifically within wealth management • Maintain excellent communication with internal Flourish stakeholders • Exercise considerable judgment and analysis to arrive at recommendations and/or conclusions
