Requirements
• 7–10 years of relevant legal experience, with a strong focus on commercial contracts • Proven experience working within international organisations, supporting cross-border legal matters • Strong background in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements (e.g. SaaS, licensing, services) • Prior law firm training is advantageous, but not essential • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, with sound judgement and the confidence to act as a key legal advisor • Experience partnering with commercial teams (e.g. Sales, Finance, Operations) in a fast-paced environment • Working knowledge of global compliance frameworks (e.g. FCPA, UK Bribery Act, OFAC) • Exposure to employment law, intellectual property, or related areas is beneficial • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities across regions
Responsibilities
• General Legal • Serve as the first point of contact for legal matters across the APAC region • Partner with the General Counsel and external legal advisors to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice • Ensure high quality legal support aligned with business objectives • Contract Negotiation • Partner with Regional Sales Leaders and Account Executives to negotiate customer contracts, including SaaS, licensing, and professional services agreements • Act as the lead legal contact for customer negotiations across APAC • Draft, review, and negotiate customer contracts • Advise internal teams on contract interpretation and support resolution of contractual disputes • Identify trends and recurring challenges in negotiations to improve contracting strategy and processes • Develop and maintain contract templates and a contracts database • Manage engagement with external counsel for country-specific legal requirements • Compliance • Support and manage compliance with global regulations including FCPA, UK Bribery Act, and OFAC • Maintain working knowledge of data protection laws and regulations across relevant jurisdictions
