legora - Talent Acquisition Manager, APAC
Requirements
• A strong track record in in-house talent acquisition at a growing SaaS or tech company, ideally VC-backed. • Experience leading and developing talent acquisition partners while staying hands-on with delivery. • Experience hiring across sales, technical, and corporate roles, holding the same bar in each, including when a search gets hard: you change the approach, not the standard. • Experience recruiting across multiple APAC markets (Australia, North Asia, Southeast Asia), and the ability to adapt to each. Language skills beyond English are a strong plus. • Excellent sourcing and engagement skills, including winning over people who aren’t looking. • A record of improving recruiting execution and using budgets wisely, including working with local agencies and RPO partners where they’re the right route to talent. • The confidence to challenge hiring managers constructively and help them decide quickly and well. • Sharp operational judgement: you can prioritise competing needs, diagnose a stalled search, and turn a problem into a clear next step. • A collaborative style and a genuine interest in helping others succeed. • Flexibility to work across APAC time zones, with occasional regional travel.
Responsibilities
• Lead and grow the team. Set clear priorities, balance talent acquisition partner workloads against business needs, and coach your team on sourcing, closing, and stakeholder management. You’ll build a culture of ownership, candid feedback, and shared learning, and help shape recruiting capacity as the region grows. • Deliver hiring with pace. Turn approved hiring plans into clear priorities and milestones across functions and markets. You’ll personally run selected complex searches from intake to offer, keep pipelines moving, and hold talent acquisition partners and hiring managers to timely feedback and action. • Build a smarter recruiting engine. Strengthen direct sourcing, referrals, and talent pipelines, and use data to see where searches stall and which sources deliver. You’ll own our APAC agency and RPO partnerships, deciding when to use them and setting expectations for quality, fees, and candidate data access. • Partner with the business. Work with the Senior Director of TA, People, and regional leaders on workforce planning, and help hiring managers define realistic role outcomes and candidate profiles. You’ll bring market insight across Australia, North Asia, and Southeast Asia, and adapt global standards to local language and employment needs. • Raise the bar on quality. Equip interviewers to make evidence-based decisions, challenge unclear requirements and unnecessary process, and build inclusive sourcing practices. You’ll make sure every candidate gets clear, respectful communication, and use feedback from candidates, hiring managers, and new joiners to keep improving.
