Carrot - Director, Procurement
Requirements
• While not required, we would be especially excited if you bring: • Experience with the Zip procurement platform • Experience supporting IPO readiness or public company financial controls • Background partnering with clinical or healthcare vendor networks
Responsibilities
• Design and lead Carrot's global procurement strategy across technology, clinical providers, professional services, and operations • Build scalable sourcing, contract management, and spend control processes that balance agility with risk management • Drive competitive sourcing events (RFPs, RFQs, vendor selection) and lead negotiations that deliver cost savings and favorable terms • Implement vendor performance measurement (KPIs, SLAs) and risk frameworks to monitor quality and compliance • Partner with Finance and Legal to ensure vendor contracts meet compliance, data privacy, and regulatory requirements • Own procurement policies, approval workflows, and internal training across the company • Lead the selection and rollout of procurement technology that automates requisitions, approvals, and reporting • Deliver quarterly reporting on vendor spend, savings, and procurement KPIs to Finance leadership • What Success Looks Like 📈 • What Success Looks Like • In your first 12–18 months, you will have: • Built and implemented Carrot's core procurement policies, workflows, and governance model • Delivered measurable cost savings and efficiency gains across major spend categories • Established a repeatable sourcing and vendor negotiation process adopted across the business • Selected and implemented procurement technology that automates requisitions and reporting • Built strong cross-functional trust with Finance, Legal, Technology, and Commercial partners • You likely have: • 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, or vendor management, ideally in high-growth SaaS, healthcare, or benefits organizations • A track record of building procurement functions from the ground up in a scaling environment • Strong contract negotiation experience, including SaaS, clinical services, and global vendors • Familiarity with data privacy and compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, SOC2, and GDPR • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to partner across Finance, Legal, Product, and Executive teams • A strategic mindset paired with hands-on execution; you thrive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments

The starting base salary for this position will range from $175,000.00- $200,000.00.
