Requirements
• Minimum 5 years payments experience in top financial service or Fintech environments, with demonstrable experience managing a team. • Proven experience in a payment operation or similar role in a fast-paced environment. • Demonstrable success in driving and managing payment operation projects, and driving process improvements. • A strong understanding of cross-border payment systems, multi-currency processes, and FX operations • Experience with incident management principles and best practices in a real-time payments context. • Card and/or safeguarding experience is a plus. • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions. • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • A proactive, detail-oriented, and resilient mindset, comfortable working independently and collaboratively. • Proficiency of data analysis tools like Excel/Gsheets and SQL.
Responsibilities
• Oversee and improve daily payment operations, managing payment queues and ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions. • Serve as the primary escalation point for all payment-related incidents, leading swift resolution and conducting root cause analysis to prevent recurrence. • Develop, document, and implement new operational processes to ensure they are robust, compliant, and scalable for hyper-growth. • Lead the successful execution of critical payment related projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards. • Analyse key operational data and payment metrics to identify trends, gain insights, and pinpoint areas for improvement. • Work cross-functionally with product, technology, compliance, and customer success teams to align on strategic objectives and ensure seamless execution. • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing clear and concise reports on project status and operational performance. • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to enhance payment infrastructure, improve reconciliation processes, and expand Verto's global payment capabilities. • Work closely with Compliance and Risk teams to ensure all payment products and processes meet regulatory standards and mitigate operational risks. • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to prevent fraud and financial crime.
