Requirements

• An engineering background (mechanical preferred) or strong technical literacy. • Experience in business development, technical sales or a similar commercial role. • Comfort reading drawings and discussing tolerances, materials and lead times. • Structured, calm and resilient under pressure. • High standards, low ego and a bias towards action. • Exposure to aerospace, defence or another regulated sector. • Hands-on manufacturing or machining experience. • Selling technical products to engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage high-value customers in defined industrial sectors. • Run outreach to founders, CTOs, programme leads and procurement teams. • Qualify inbound RFQs, and check manufacturability with factory teams before making promises. • Lead early technical commercial conversations about drawings, tolerances, materials and lead times. • Support pricing, proposal preparation and contract negotiation. • Keep CRM and pipeline records disciplined and current. • Help write the outreach playbook the wider team will use.
