• Has a deep understanding of global benefits frameworks, leave regulations (e.g., FMLA, statutory leaves across multiple jurisdictions), and their application in a complex financial services environment. • Uses analytical skills to evaluate benefits program effectiveness, identify trends, and propose data-driven solutions for continuous improvement. • Develops a working knowledge of related People Operations domains, such as compensation, HRIS management, and compliance, to inform holistic decision-making. • Complexity and Impact of Work: • Independently defines priorities and applies problem-solving skills to manage the full lifecycle of moderately complex projects, such as annual open enrollment, benefits vendor transitions, or implementation of new global leave policies. • Responsible for ensuring compliance with evolving global leave and benefits regulations, mitigating risk, and safeguarding the firm's interests. • Works on diverse challenges requiring thoughtful analysis, such as complex leave cases or unique benefits exceptions, requiring sound judgment and decision-making with minimal supervision. • Organizational Knowledge: • Understands Anchorage’s strategic goals related to talent attraction, retention, and employee well-being, integrating them into benefits and leave program design and administration. • Clearly communicates how global benefits and leave strategies contribute to the department's priorities and the overall Villager experience. • Participates in hiring efforts for People Operations, sharing insights on the role's impact and attracting top talent to Anchorage. • Communication and Influence: • Builds strong relationships with Villagers, vendors, and internal stakeholders (e.g., Finance, Legal) to effectively administer benefits and leave programs and embody Anchorage's culture pillars. • Collaborates across teams to ensure seamless integration of benefits and leave processes, mentoring colleagues on best practices and contributing to cross-functional initiatives. • Adapts communication styles effectively to explain complex benefits and leave policies to diverse audiences, gaining buy-in and fostering understanding. • You may be a fit for this role if you have: • 5-7+ years of progressive experience in People Operations with a dedicated focus on benefits and leave management, preferably within the financial services sector or a similar global, fast-paced environment. • Direct experience with Workday or Dayforce HRIS for benefits and leave administration. • Demonstrated experience supporting end-to-end global leave management, including understanding and applying complex multi-jurisdictional regulations. • Proven experience in global benefits administration, including vendor management, renewals, plan design, and ensuring regulatory compliance. • Strong understanding of relevant federal, state, and international employment laws pertaining to leave (e.g., FMLA, ADA, PFL) and benefits (e.g., ERISA, ACA, GDPR). • Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy, crucial for managing intricate benefits and leave data. • Ability to work independently, define priorities, and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of issues and propose effective, creative solutions. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex policies clearly and professionally to all levels of the organization. • A collaborative mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to build effective relationships across teams and with external partners. • A strong commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and ethical conduct. • Although not a requirement, bonus points if: • Experience with global immigration processes and related compliance. • Professional certifications such as CEBS (Certified Employee Benefit Specialist) or SHRM-SCP/CP. • Experience supporting benefits and leave for employees in EMEA or APAC regions. • You were emotionally moved by the soundtrack to Hamilton, which chronicles the founding of a new financial system. :)
