Responsibilities
• 1. Commercial Strategy: Define the multi-year practice vision and align technical capabilities to market demand. Market this vision and strategy to commercial teams and sellers at TELUS Digital to drive new business to the practice. Engage in business development activities that help to source pipeline and achieve revenue targets. • 2. P&L: Own revenue targets, margin, and growth while being accountable for the practice's commercial performance. • 3. Talent & Culture: Build a practice where engineering excellence and continuous learning are the default. • 4. Client Impact: Serve as a strategic advisor to enterprise CxOs navigating complex transformation programmes. • Set the long-term technical vision for the practice, connecting capability-building to real market demand for cloud and digital transformation. • Own the full P&L, including pricing and pipeline to delivery margin and revenue growth, and report directly to executive leadership. • Build and maintain senior relationships with channel partner teams such as Google Cloud and enterprise client executives to generate and win meaningful deal flow. • Drive investment in IP, accelerators, and reusable assets that support the commercial group and the sale of practice services, as well as improve delivery speed and protect margins at scale. • Actively scout and champion emerging technologies and methodologies, and simultaneously make evidence-based bets that keep the practice ahead of the market. • Partner with clients' C-suite executives as a trusted advisor, helping them navigate cloud adoption decisions, vendor strategy, and organisational change. • Lead by example on engineering culture: set the bar for quality, create space for learning, and build teams that clients want to work with again. • 12+ years in technology consulting. Including at least 3–5 years in an executive or practice leadership role, not just senior individual contribution. • Proven P&L ownership: Direct experience managing revenue, margin, and growth targets in a consulting or professional services context. • Cloud ecosystem depth: Strong command of cloud-native architecture, enterprise IT strategy, and the competitive landscape across major cloud providers. • Executive communication: Comfortable owning C-suite relationships as evidenced by your ability to challenge, advise, and build trust at the highest levels of client organizations. • Business Development track record: Experience generating pipeline and closing complex, multi-stakeholder consulting engagements, not just delivery. • Talent leadership: Has hired, developed, and retained senior engineering and consulting talent in a practice or delivery organisation.
