miramace - Head of Sales
Requirements
• You've built sales at an early-stage healthcare company and stayed through the growth. Maybe you were the first sales hire. Maybe you started as a rep and rose to lead the org as the company scaled. Either way, you were there for the climb. • You have a track record of quota-carrying, full-cycle sales into provider organizations. Specialty practices, hospitals, health systems, SNFs, or home health. • You still sell. You've personally closed meaningful deals in the last two years, not only managed the people who did. • You know your numbers. You can tell us what you carried, what the company did while you were there, and how it got from one to the other. • You've sold adoption, not signatures. You know the difference between a yes in a conference room and a referral that shows up every week, and you've gone back into a building to make the second one happen. • You've hired and developed sellers who hit their number, and you know when to hire and when to keep selling yourself. • You can build the sales infrastructure yourself. ICP definition, pain mapping, pitch and deck narrative, stage definitions, customer journey. • You can sell on the outcomes providers actually care about: rehospitalization, appointment adherence, prior auth burden, case manager and admin workload. • You can hold up under sharp questioning from a health system leadership group or an investor without softening the pitch. • You're willing to be paid on referral volume rather than closed logos. • You built and scaled sales at a remote patient monitoring, chronic care management, care navigation, or healthcare AI company with a usage- or volume-based revenue model. • Experience running both motions in one seat: mid-size practices and enterprise health systems. • You've built a partnerships or referral program that drove a real share of revenue. • Experience working alongside a field liaison team and converting field relationships into contracts. • Enough EHR integration experience to know when integration is worth pushing for and when it isn't. • THIS DESCRIBES YOU • A builder who has done it once and wants to do it again. You'd rather be in front of customers than running internal escalations. • Urgent. You move fast, you set the pace, and you don't wait for permission to fix what's broken. • Comfortable with no. Gatekeepers, "send us something," "we already have a vendor," a champion who goes quiet. None of it moves you off the account. • Honest about pipeline. You'd rather tell the founder a deal is dead than carry it another month. • In it for the long run. You want to build something that lasts, and be the one leading it when it does.
Responsibilities
• Own revenue. Set the targets, build the plan, and carry the number personally until there is a team to share it. • Sell it yourself first. Target list, first meeting, signed partnership, live referral volume, across mid-size specialty practices, hospital health systems, and the SNFs, LTACs, and home health agencies attached to them. • Build the map. Pick the specialties and account types worth attacking, name the pain each one actually feels, and build the pitch and target persona for each. • Turn footholds into programs. Convert the referral relationships our liaison team has earned into contracted, top-down programs with the practice owner, the CEO, or the service line lead. • Build the machine. ICP, stage definitions, pipeline reporting, forecasting, and the comp plan for the sellers who come after you. • Hire and lead as we grow. Decide when the next seller has been earned, recruit them, and coach them to hit their number. • Make referrals a habit. Work the case managers, discharge planners, and practice admins, with our success and engineering teams behind you, until Mira Mace lives in the daily workflow in the portal or the EHR. • Be the commercial voice of the company. Feed what you learn into strategy and product, and stand next to the founder in front of investors and the board.
Benefits
• A founding seat with a real path. You build the commercial organization, and you lead it as it grows. • Warm ground under a cold seat. Patients are already being served inside many target accounts, so you walk in with proof. • No budget objection. Practices and health systems pay nothing. Medicare funds the work. Every conversation is about workflow relief and patient outcomes. • A founder who wants a partner. He'll co-pitch with you, unblock engineering for integrations, and give you room to run the commercial side your way. • Comp aligned to real adoption. Variable comp ties to referral volume, so you get paid on accounts that actually work, and you get full support to make them work. • Meaningful early equity. Competitive compensation and real ownership in what we're building, backed by Foundation Capital and Define Ventures.
