• You understand how C&I customers think and how to move an organization toward a complex energy decision quickly. You are customer-focused and detail-oriented across a long sales and development cycle, and you collaborate comfortably with senior stakeholders at customers, partners, and across Voltus. As a player-coach, you will hire and enable sellers who are new to Voltus while rolling up your sleeves to figure out new things in a fast-evolving battery market. An open mind and grit are essential. • 5+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or sales in the energy industry • Proven ability to manage long, complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders in large organizations • Proven ability to build, coach, and develop high-performing sales teams • Familiarity with wholesale electricity markets, demand response programs, and batteries • Comfort with ambiguity: you will help shape our battery sales approach rather than wait for a fully defined playbook • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, including developing processes, tools and campaigns with internal teams • Experience with Google Workspace, Salesforce, and Slack preferred • Please note that at this time, we do not sponsor visas or transfers for new hires. Voltus teammates need to be authorized to work from their home location (in the US or Canada, unless otherwise indicated on the role description). • Additionally, while Voltus is an all-remote workplace, we have limitations on where employees are able to work for regulatory and security reasons. We expect that Voltans are working primarily from their home country.
