Requirements
• Proven track record of closing six-figure deals in developer SaaS. • Experience as an "experience hunter." • Ability to own and grow a book of business focused on net-new Prefect opportunities, combining product-led sales with targeted outbound efforts. • Close understanding or experience working closely with Sales Engineers pre-sale. • Capability in generating pipeline by blending various signals such as OSS adoption, PQLs (Prefect Query Language), and self-serve Cloud users; maintaining ≥3× pipeline coverage quarter over quarter. • Experience running technical evaluations with Sales Engineers to set success criteria, design evaluation plans, and ensure clear roles in every deal. • Skill in delivering crisp handoffs post close to Solutions Engineers and CSMs (Customer Success Managers), sharing goals, architecture notes, risks for adoption, renewals, and expansion. • Operate with rigor: maintain stage exit criteria, provide accurate forecasts, keep CRM records clean, run disciplined closure plans.
Responsibilities
• Engage with potential clients to understand their needs for technical products/solutions within our Go To Market department. • Develop a comprehensive sales strategy tailored to the client's industry and business objectives. • Present product demonstrations, pitches, or consultative selling approaches as required by each unique prospect. • Maintain regular communication with clients through emails, phone calls, video conferences, etc., ensuring a strong relationship is built and maintained throughout the sales process. • Provide detailed reports on client interactions to senior management for review and feedback purposes. • Collaborate closely with other team members in Go To Market department as well as product development teams when necessary to ensure alignment of products/solutions offered to clients' needs. • Attend weekly meetings, presentations or webinars related to industry trends, competitor analysis and market forecasts for informed decision making on sales strategies. • Participate in continuous professional training programs provided by Prefect Company to stay updated with the latest technical selling techniques and product knowledge.

• San Francisco Bay Area & NYC Metro: $141,00-$167,000 (OTE $282,000-$334,000) • Washington D.C., Boston, LA Metro, Seattle: $132,000-$154,000 (OTE $264,000-$308,000) • Denver, Chicago, Atlanta, & all other U.S. metros: $128,000-$150,000 (OTE $256,000-$300,000) • Actual base salary within each range depends on the candidate’s location, experience, and qualifications. OTE (on-target earnings) includes base salary + target commissions/bonuses.
