brainco - President of Government Strategy & Partnerships
Requirements
• You've done one or many of these things well: • Ideally, held senior roles in both government and tech, and are fluent in both worlds. You understand how government institutions operate and have experience navigating government processes and relationships. • Scaled a software business — in any complex, regulated, or enterprise-heavy industry — from early traction to a mature, repeatable revenue engine • Led enterprise sales in a regulated industry — real estate, urban planning, financial services, healthcare — where selling to both regulators and the regulated was part of the job • Entrepreneurial — comfortable building without a playbook, making decisions with incomplete information, and moving fast when the path isn't obvious • A strong problem solver — you find ways through obstacles others treat as dead ends, whether that's a procurement barrier, a skeptical agency, or a product gap • Partnership-minded — you've used strategic partnerships, channel relationships, or ecosystem alliances to drive distribution and open doors that direct sales alone couldn't • Intellectually curious — you are genuinely curious about applying AI and emerging technologies to real-world problems, particularly ones with social impact
Responsibilities
• Build the Government Vertical: • Define Brain Co.’s strategy for deploying AI systems across government institutions • Identify high-impact operational workflows (permitting, benefits administration, regulatory review, etc.) • Turn early pilots into repeatable deployments across agencies and jurisdictions • Develop Government Relationships: • Build relationships with senior leaders across state, local, and federal governments • Engage with policy leaders, agency heads, and institutional partners • Navigate procurement, contracting, and regulatory processes required to deploy technology in government environments • Drive Early Deployments: • Source and structure pilot programs with government partners • Work closely with product and engineering teams to translate government workflows into deployable systems • Help guide product development based on real operational needs inside agencies • Build Ecosystem Partnerships: • Engage with organizations such as national government associations, policy networks, and civic institutions • Develop partnerships that accelerate adoption across jurisdictions • Help Scale a New Category: • Help position Brain Co. as a trusted partner for governments deploying AI • Contribute to long-term strategy for expanding Brain Co.’s work across regulated industries
Benefits
• Governments operate many of the systems that shape everyday life, from infrastructure permitting to benefits administration to healthcare delivery. • Many of these processes remain manual, slow, and difficult to scale. Brain Co. is building AI systems that help governments modernize these operational workflows. This role will help bring those capabilities into public institutions and shape how governments adopt AI over the coming decade. • If you’re excited about helping modernize government and bringing frontier AI into the public sector, we’d love to hear from you. • Flexible location. Regular travel to government partners and Brain Co. offices will be expected. • Competitive compensation including salary, equity, and performance incentives.
