Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in business development or B2B sales, with at least 2 years selling SaaS into financial services • Experience managing or mentoring a sales or BDR team, with a passion for developing talent • Demonstrated ability to close complex, multi-stakeholder deals with long sales cycles • Familiarity with the fintech landscape — including regulatory considerations, core banking systems, APIs, and digital transformation trends • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to tailor messaging to C-suite, compliance, and technical audiences • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, high-growth startup or scale-up environment • Proficiency with CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field • Experience selling to compliance, risk, or finance teams • Existing network within banking, lending, payments, or wealthtech • Understanding of open banking, embedded finance, or API-first platforms

• $100K – $150K • $100K – $150K Commission • Business Development Manager (New Business) • Leadership & Team Development • Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of AEs and BDRs, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture • Set clear targets, manage performance, and provide regular coaching and feedback • Support the team in refining outreach strategies, improving conversion rates, and navigating complex deals • Assist with recruiting and onboarding new team members as the business scales • Report on team pipeline health, activity metrics, and performance to senior leadership • Business Development • Prospect and develop relationships with key decision-makers at lenders, fintechs, banks, and other financial institutions • Own the full sales cycle from initial outreach and discovery through demo, proposal, negotiation, and close • Develop a deep understanding of our product and articulate its value proposition clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders • Identify and pursue strategic partnership opportunities with complementary SaaS platforms, systems integrators, and fintech ecosystems • Represent the company at fintech industry events, trade shows, and conferences (e.g., Money20/20, Finovate) • Feed market and client insights back to the product team to inform the roadmap • Cross-Functional Collaboration • Work closely with sales, product, and customer success teams to ensure seamless client handoffs and strong onboarding experiences • Partner with marketing to align on messaging, campaigns, and lead generation strategies • Maintain accurate pipeline data and forecasts in the CRM and report regularly on team and individual performance
